This Atlantic jewel, listed as a historic monument, was built at the end of the century
This Atlantic jewel, listed as a historic monument, was built at the end of the 16th century. There's only one way to get there: by boat. The lighthouse tour and boat trip can be booked at the same time with one of the approved companies. After a 45-minute crossing, you'll be delighted to climb the 301 steps leading up to the lantern. The panorama over the Gironde estuary is fantastic. Cordouan, the world's oldest working lighthouse and the only lighthouse at sea open to visitors, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021.

superb walk from the port, this lighthouse stands at the entrance of the mouth seems inaccessible and yet is played guard who disembarks during a few hours. you can picnics on the sand bank and contemplate the coast of beauty and the pointe de grave. the price is very reasonable for the beauty and the location of the site
