This Atlantic jewel, listed as a historic monument, was built at the end of the 16th century. There's only one way to get there: by boat. The lighthouse tour and boat trip can be booked at the same time with one of the approved companies. After a 45-minute crossing, you'll be delighted to climb the 301 steps leading up to the lantern. The panorama over the Gironde estuary is fantastic. Cordouan, the world's oldest working lighthouse and the only lighthouse at sea open to visitors, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021.

even if the journey is a little expensive (everything is relative), the time spent at sea and tours of this monument maintained and renovated is worth the trip.
The lighthouse is on the open ocean and it only way D access is the boat that is quite expensive. But the lighthouse is magnificent by its white stones and the interior is beautiful. You feel far from all and completely disorientated

Tarif onéreux mais cela vaut vraiment le coup.
Ne manquer pas la visite du phare avec la lentille de Fresnel.
