Welcome to the largest public garden in Essonne - and what a garden! Thanks to its 98 hectares of greenery and its very rich historical and landscape heritage, the Domaine départemental de Chamarande is now certified as a "remarkable garden". Formerly the original home of the Scout movement in France, it then served as a workers' production cooperative and then as a grouping of associations in the 1970s.
