Lake classified among the great Landes lakes, with a unique wild and preserved setting offering many activities.

Stretching over almost 20 km², Lac de Lacanau is one of the largest lakes in the Landes region. Still quite wild and unspoilt, it enjoys a unique setting. On the north side, it is linked to the natural lake of Hourtin-Carcans by the Canal des Etangs, and on the south side it empties into the Bay of Arcachon. All along the way, on the outskirts of pretty villages, you'll find small bays ideal for anchoring. Here and there, campsites, sailing clubs, restaurants, paddle courses, hiking trails and cycle paths. You'll love the beaches of Moutchic and Grande Escoure.

Très joli lac, à l'écart de la foule et dont le calme est bien apprécié ! De grands parkings aux abords. Propreté et nature. Les sportifs s'adonnent au kite, paddle et planche à voile !

Jolie plage qui résiste aux assauts de la mer. Il y a différents accès : plages centrales, plages Nord et plages Sud. Bel effort pour pallier à l'érosion et maintenir l'ensablement au niveau de la plage centrale. Toujours agréable de prendre un bol d'air iodé en hiver.
