Oyster adjoining the extramural cemetery in Montvilliers, a remarkable chapel and an on-site gallery-ossuary.
The aître de Brisgaret adjoins the extra-muros cemetery which was invested in the second half of the 15th century and is inspired by the aître Saint-Maclou in Rouen built at the same time. The Abbey of Montivilliers refused to copy the Rouen building to the end, leaving the cloister unfinished, consisting of a chapel, a mass grave and a 36 m long gallery-sunroom. Its framework rests on 16 carved wooden pillars. A historical monument since 1886, the site was restored in 2014. Observe the details of the chapel dedicated to Saint Lazarus, patron saint of lepers.
