It's been almost 2 years since Mathieu Roulland, founder of the Gibbon brewery in Castets-et-Castillon, and Aymeric Davic, sound engineer, took over the reins of Le Petit Montmartre under a new identity: Martin Eden - Pub Gibbon. Unsurprisingly, they wanted to bring together two things they love so much: music and beer, in a tavern spirit. In fact, the food is inspired by this. Victor Mabille is also the driving force behind a comedy club. A date is set for the last Friday or Saturday of every month!

Found this place at lunchtime on the last day of our holiday and was gutted - it looked like an amazing night out. Even on a quiet lunchtime it was a beautiful spot, the food was excellent and the beer was really, really good. The lady behind the bar was incredibly friendly, with very good English (to make up for our terrible French), and made my wife and I really welcome.

If we are ever fortunate enough to visit the area again I will definitely make sure to visit this place when there is some live music on.
