FERME BRASSERIE NORTHMAEN

The Northmaen craft brewery in La Chapelle-Saint-Ouen, Normandy, is more than just a production facility. Since 1997, local Viking brewer Dominique Camus has been crafting blond, brown and red ales, as well as original creations such as Northmaen with chestnuts. In addition to a wide range of beers brewed from his own organic barley, he also distills Thor Boyo whisky and the ash-infused Yggdrasill wort. The brewery is open to visitors on Saturday afternoons (booking required), with tastings on offer! Every June, a major Viking festival is held here.
