Chapel and ship’s landmark, supposedly built by Robert the Magnificent, a shipwreck survivor, with ex-votos on the walls.

A visit to the Notre-Dame-du-Salut chapel is a must to get to know the city. According to legend, Robert the Magnificent built it after being saved from a shipwreck. To get there, take the "Sente aux Matelots" path from the port and go to the top of the cliff. The chapel is the guardian of the memory of the men who perished at sea: you will discover many ex-votos on the walls but also models of ships. It still serves as a landmark for ships at sea.

La chapelle est actuellement fermée pour restauration et l'accès au cap Fagnet est limité en raison de risques d'éboulements de falaises mais il faut quand même y monter pour la vue sur Fécamp ; se promener jusqu'au sémaphore et à côté des cinq éoliennes.

Vue époustouflante
La vue de la chapelle est époustouflante. On voie la ville, le port, la plage et les falaises. Dans la chapelle, il reste encore des ex-voto. Ne pas hésiter à se balader dans les alentours.

Chapelle qui domine Fecamp ,la vue est grandiose sur la ville ,le port ,les falaises,par beau temps on peut voir jusqu'à la falaise d'amont d'Etretat .
La chapelle est consacrée aux marins perdus en mer ..

C'est une trés joli chapelle et c'est unique car il y a des motifs de marins et de la mer partout. Au moment ou on y a visité, il y avait pas mal de donations d'art des marins qui ont retourné sains et saufs.
