Church in Dieppe with a choir, nave, and side aisles dating from the 13th century, mixing Gothic and Renaissance styles

Built in 1282 by Guillaume de Flavacourt, Archbishop of Rouen, this imposing building houses a choir, nave, and aisles dating back to the 13th century and blends the Gothic and Renaissance styles. Inspired by Victor Hugo and other artists, the Church of St. Jacques is in Dieppe. Its rich history is due in particular to its patron Jehan Castle who wanted to represent artistically, among other things, scenes of the life of the indigenous people.

C'est une très belle église, de très jolies choses à voir mais des travaux de rénovation s'imposent, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur !

Cette belle église gothique, qui a besoin d'un coup d'entretien dû au passage du temps, a été retenue dans la mision Stéphane Bern de sauvegarde du patrimoine. C'est une bonne nouvelle ! Elle est claire et harmonieuse d'intérieur.

On ne s'attend pas à trouver une telle église, si imposante et si richement travaillée.
Les sculptures des bas-reliefs sont magnifiques.

A l'extérieur, la place aux maisons de toutes les couleurs est très agréable.
