A blend of architectural heritage and contemporary art, Château de Vascœuil dates back to the 12th century (a superb octagonal tower remains), and was modified in the 15th century. The beautiful dovecote dates from the 17th century. The French-style park is home to over 60 sculptures by some of the world's greatest artists (Braque, Dali, Volti, Vasarely...), assembled and exhibited in a park of almost 8 hectares. Now a Center of Art and History, the site is home to France's only Jules Michelet Museum and a major modern art exhibition every year.
