Overlooking the Seine, the ruins of Château-Gaillard bear witness to the past of one of the region's most famous fortresses, and offer a unique view of the Seine, Petit-Andely and the cliffs in the distance. Classified as a historic monument since 1862 and listed as a major national site, Château-Gaillard has inspired painters, poets and other contemporary artists. In August, medieval games and re-enacted camps are held there at weekends, as well as workshops for children. Take advantage of the group ticket with the Nicolas Poussin Museum.

Visite gratuite jusqu'à un certain point si vous la faites seule. Sinon, des visites guidées sont organisées et forcément payantes. Pour visiter le donjon central, il faut payer 3,50€. Le tour de celui ci est très rapide, à vous de voir si vous souhaitez le faire
