An interesting visit, and nice to see that some of the machinery is still working, including an enormous water wheel. This definitely adds a lot of depth to the tour.
Unfortunately they only do French tours out of peak season, and the audio guide has only around 15 minutes of talking for a 60 minute tour. It is also not very obvious when you need to press play on the next audio file, there are small signs but these are a bit hidden, and they number more than the files they give you.
We used Google translate to live translate the tour guide, and found there was so much more information given in the speaking tour, which made it ashame the audio guide was so short.
A lot of the displays don't have English translations. You also have to bring your own phone and headphones to use for the audio tour, otherwise you have to buy some from the counter.
Overall, an interesting visit, I'm sure it'd be fantastic in French or peak season, but for English speakers, the flow of the tour could do with a bit more work.
Nous recommandons+++
