Aquitanis is a public habitat office attached to Bordeaux Métropole. It has a role as urban and social operator in the service of national and local habitat policies and has the objective of designing, producing and managing sustainable housing and urban sites in order to enable the greatest number of access and living in quality habitat. Since autumn 2008, 5 agencies spread across the territory of the Bordeaux agglomeration and employing more than 200 people are available to Locataires tenants to meet their needs: reception, claims, cleanliness, maintenance… It also rehabilitated old buildings and contributes to the urban renewal of neighbourhoods in order to transform them into real places of life. Aquitanis was one of the main operators of the Grand project of the Cities (GPV) of the Hauts de Garonne. Finally, in order to allow families wishing to access the property at controlled prices, Aquitanis has several modes of action: Axanis, its subsidiary, proposes 50 to 60 units per year (single and small houses) throughout the Gironde territory and markets land to build, Aquitanis proposes to sale every year, as a priority, its tenants, part of its rental heritage.
