The EBABX, which receives the support of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Métropole, the Ministry of Culture and the New Aquitaine region, is the only school providing higher education in the artistic field. It hosts 220 students in Art and Design, recruits nearly 60 first year students, and prepares for accredited DNA diplomas (National Diploma 1 st Round Bac +3) and Master (DNSEP National Superior Diploma in Plastic Expression Bac +5). The curriculum is provided by nearly fifty teachers, most of whom are also art artists and theorists. Studies allow students to be initiated to the different means of creation: audiovisual, graphics chain, materials, drawing, painting… General culture courses and realization of an individual project through research and creation workshops are also the program. In addition to these courses, teaching alternates with courses in enterprises, study tours, seminars, meetings and personal interviews. The school also provides non-professional education to adults or free listeners. The 2017 return marked a new stage in the development of the establishment with a new direction, and the integration of the Bordeaux Metropolis within the Public Establishment of Cultural Cooperation - EPCC.
