Janin is a Mecca for creamer-refiners. No fewer than 150 cheeses from all over France and abroad are presented in this charming boutique. Most are carefully matured in the company's own cellars. Hugo Sublet perpetuates the family know-how. The packaging has changed since 1856, but not the manufacturing (glass bottle and mechanical stopper). The ingredients are the same: cane sugar, agave syrup, pure water from the Massif, natural flavours. Sold all over the world, this bubbly drink is drunk at the production site on Friday afternoon. The organic lemonade echoes childhood memories. It has been expanded to include rose, orange blossom, ginger, peppermint and elderberry. Others have regional flavours. 19 references in total.

This 1833 chalet housed the local cheese dairy before becoming the sales outlet for the Mont Rivel cooperative in the neighboring village of Vannoz. When it was founded in 1965, the cooperative began making and maturing Comté cheese (6, 12 and 24 months). Then morbier and raclette. It has 40 farms. Other products complete the range. This is a must for locals and ideal if you want to fill up on Comtois specialties. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

After various fortunes, including closures, "fire" this meeting of smoked and regional products reopened in summer 2018 thanks to Raphaël Besson. Removed from the RN 5, but perfectly visible, its fireplaces are smoking again, but to bake bread, pastries and pizzas. Everything is cooked with wood and as the owner is a passionate person he uses as much as possible raw materials from the region. In the breads, you will smell this tradition on sourdough which is also available with sesame, corn, sprouted wheat, 14 cereals with variants "complete", "sports", olives-peppers, bacon-comté... As for pastries, in addition to the classics, you will admire the Nanterre, galettes, panettonnes, cakes, apple-rhubarb turnovers. The baker also plays the card of originality and regionality for his pizzas (including sweet ones): Mournier, Morteau, La jurassienne, Miel-chevre,... a burst of aromas that whet your appetite! You will be able to consume on the spot including outside on the tables of the rest area arranged in a green setting.

In front of the city hall with a large parking lot, the Relais du Fumé is in your arms. Its 5 red arcade windows hang as an invitation. All kinds of pigs show up behind the windows and get you dirty. Sculptures of a giant raw ham and a sausage serve as a sign. History has been going on since 1937. The Javaux, craftsmen in the soul, have unanimously known know-how. They offer a wide selection of Jura specialties: Raw ham smoked, brecsi, smoked bacon, campaign terrines, rillings (gold medals), smoked filets, cocktail sausages, sausage sausage, dry sausage… All from traditional raw materials of the land. But not only because the last generation (Edwige and Frédéric) love to create and invent. Recently, they got a gold medal for their Easter eggs… sausage! Their superbly decorated boutique with a beautiful frame, enriched with an art space of the table… And many fine grocery products will satisfy all the gourmet desires.
