Castle housing the Institute of the Wines of the Jura and the museum of the Vine and the Wine whose visit begins with the vine-exhibition.

The château was once part of the fortifications of Arbois. It now houses the Institut des Vins du Jura and the Musée de la Vigne et du Vin. A visit to the museum begins in the gardens, with a vineyard exhibition featuring the different Jura grape varieties and wine-making machinery. Inside, you'll discover the work of winegrowers and their tools, some of which date back several centuries: crusher, press, barrels, corking machine, wine capper, etc.

C'est un joli petit musée qui nécessite quand même une visite guidée pour en comprendre les objets et leurs histoires.
Les explications sont alors complètes et agréables à écouter, les anecdotes amusantes.
