Above the Dordogne river, in a guest house of 5 rooms with all comforts and a swimming pool very close to the castle of Montfort.
Virginie and Eric took over this charming B&B in 2023. The 5 rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with antique furniture. Three of them have a superb view of the Château de Montfort! There's a large living room and a mezzanine for relaxing indoors, a garden with deckchairs and a swimming pool that's great fun on sunny days! You can also book a massage on site. A short stroll will bring you to the village, or to the banks of the Dordogne, as you wish. Table d'hôtes on reservation.

Welcome to our guest house La Barde Montfort, where we are delighted to welcome you as we would our friends.
Our entire house is decorated in the style of a Dordogne chateau. Our 5 bright, spacious bedrooms are all on one level, with direct access to the garden. A living room with fireplace and mezzanine library invite you to relax. Our large dining room welcomes you each morning to share a hearty breakfast. Four evenings a week, we are happy to cook for you and offer you our table d'hôtes with specialties from our region. Ideally situated for visiting the region, just 5km from Sarlat, our guest house is also ideal for relaxing in our swimming pool and shady garden, both with views of the Château de Montfort. On site, you can also play pétanque or ping-pong, or indulge in a massage or simply a moment of reading or napping in our deckchairs.
We're also passionate about the region, and will be happy to advise you on the visits, activities, addresses and hikes best suited to your needs.
