A good gourmet address right next to one of the famous castles, overlooking the Dordogne valley in the cingle of Montfort.

The restaurant-brasserie located at the foot of the castle of Montfort enjoys a very pleasant setting that can be appreciated from the beautiful terrace arranged with care. The shade of a superb paulownia is a real plus. The menu remains very traditional with a good choice of salads or plates, tartines, foie gras, duck breast, confits, burgers, and homemade desserts. Bar and ice creams in the afternoon, in the evening, some very eclectic concerts take place on the terrace which often turns into a dance floor.

Crème anglaise tournée
30 juillet 2021 : le gåteau à la noix est servi avec une crème anglaise...... celle-ci a tourné !
La serveuse me le confirme : en cuisine, quelqu'un a goûté et a confirmé mon diagnostique !
Là où on voit que nous n'avons pas affaire à des professionnels, c'est quand nous constatons qu'aucun geste n'a été fait.... Pas d'autre dessert proposé, pas de café offert, la personne qui encaissait n'était pas au courant .....
Des amateurs .... ! On ne s'improvise pas du métier, sinon on fait du tort à la profession !!!

Belle terrasse ombragée au pied d'un très beau château, bon rapport qualité prix, très belles salades copieuses et originales. Personnel très sympa. Je recommande vivement.
