Manor house at the foot of the cliff with picturesque terraces in Vézac.

This former gabarrier's inn offers, in a remarkable site, five rooms and two apartments fitted out and decorated with a refinement with oriental accents. From the terraces at the back, at the foot of the majestic Marqueyssac rock, the view is both magical and full of serenity over the villages of La Roque-Gageac and Cénac and Saint-Julien, which are among the most beautiful villages in France. The location is ideal to enjoy the view of the Dordogne and the most famous sites of the Périgord Noir! A swimming pool completes the scene.

Accueil approximatif, décoration hasardeuse, prix exorbitant, jardin magnifique suspendu à la falaise. Le luxe se résume au service du petit déjeuner.

My family stayed at the manor for 3 nights in July and it was an unbelievable treat. The owner was delightful - so helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic with easy access to the river, a short pedestrian-only walk into town, and easy drives to local sites. The manor and the grounds are exceptional. The interior is luxuriously decorated and immaculately clean but unpretentious. Our room was enormous. The pool and garden were relaxing and lovely as well. We appreciated having access to the shared kitchen to store and prepare our light meals. In summary, our stay at the manor was as close to perfect as possible.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par la propriétaire et avons été touchés par la beauté du lieu. Notamment par la splendeur du jardin entretenu avec soin. ||La chambre « Les Milandes » qui nous a été gentiment proposée est spacieuse, charmante et offre une vue imprenable sur le jardin, la ville et permet également de profiter d’un agréable lever du soleil. Rien de tel que de se poser au bord de la piscine avec un bon livre, ou d’apprécier un verre de vin sur une ancienne tour de guet avec vue sur la Dordogne. ||En bref, parfait pour se ressourcer, profiter du calme et de la beauté de la région. Tout cela n’aurait pas été possible sans la gentillesse et la bienveillance des propriétaires qui s’occupent à merveille de cet unique domaine. Encore merci pour ce séjour !

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at Chateau de la Malartrie. The property is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The inside is better than the photos suggest. The bedrooms are all very comfortable with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equiped with decent equipment for cooking, we had 16 people staying and had no problems catering for this number. There are nice restaurants and shops a short walk away and canoeing on your door step. The hosts are very helpul as is the catertaker. I am sure we will come back one day.

Brilliant hotel underpinned by the excellent hosts.

Location is superb being a ten minute walk into the village and a one minute walk to an area by the river you can have a relaxed meal / drink.

Ouafaa the host will help with all restaurant booking (including the excellent Michelin restaurant in the village).

Ouafaa also advised on hiring bikes locally which was excellent and a great way to explore.

Lastly, the hotel and rooms are a perfect combination of fitting the period and modern luxury. We used the pool area and extensive gardens to sit and have breakfast / a drink every day.

We were a couple but families were also staying and hotel, grounds, location work for all.
