The Parc du Thot is an animal park that ideally complements the visit to Lascaux II or IV, offering a unique approach to the relationship between man and animal in prehistoric times. Start your visit by exploring the museum area, where you'll discover reproductions of the Lascaux paintings, as well as reconstructed scenes of prehistoric life. Other exhibition rooms plunge you into the world of cave art, with models, photos and films tracing the evolution of the climate and its impact on the environment of early man. A 12-minute 3D film will take you on a journey through our planet's major climatic transformations. Then take a breath of fresh air by getting up close to the emblematic animals of prehistory: aurochs, deer, bison, Przewalski's horses, wolves, ibex... During the school vacations, animal caretakers offer mediation sessions to learn more about the daily lives of these fascinating species. You can even enjoy a unique experience by becoming an animal keeper for a day, alone or with your family, spending several hours working alongside the park's professionals as they feed and care for the animals... Finally, for those who dream of stepping into the shoes of Cro-Magnon man, a host of immersive activities are on offer for young visitors: introduction to cave art, archaeological digs, flint knapping, prehistoric ornament making, grease lamp making and leather working.

Les animaux sont magnifiques et le terrain ombragé
Plutôt bien carrossable en poussette dans l'ensemble
Sympa pour les enfants!
Petit bémol et proposition du coup: fort dommage de ne pas trouver de glaces en pleine saison quand vous tombez un des 3 jours de la semaine où on ne peut se restaurer au parc! Avec cette chaleur et tous les enfants qui réclament. Un petit congélateur bahut avec des esquimaux, des glaces à l'eau et des barres glacées vendus à la boutique serait top.
Mise à jour 2024: encore mieux avec les louveteaux et une meute de 5 individus ! Et plein d'autres naissances !
Mise à jour Juillet 2025: rien à redire sur le parc. Mais honte à Demi-tour d'annuler les cartes privilèges annuelles! Surtout pour les locaux ! À bon entendeur
