Pontarlier organises this weekend festival in honour of absinthe, which made its reputation and which was called the "Green Fairy".

Pontarlier was the world capital of absinthe until 1915. It has been organising this unique event for 20 years. The town celebrates the "green fairy", which also has medicinal properties, for the benefit of arthritis sufferers, its defenders. The festivities are organised around a popular competition (you can join in on registration). An exhibition is held in the chapel of the Annonciades and in the Museum. A cultural event, this moment allows you to go back in time to the mythical atmosphere of the "absinthe years". Le Petit Futé is a partner.
