Ecomuseum located in Sorges and Rigueux where the scenography brings to life a wealth of information on the origins and future of the truffle

Nestled in an 18thᵉ century Périgord farmhouse, the Écomusée de la Truffe is an ode to the black diamond. Here, the truffle tells its story through its history, its harvesting secrets and its culinary wonders. Upstairs, the museum immerses you in the world of this rare mushroom, while on the first floor, the store is full of regional products: oils, vinegars, condiments... After your visit, opt for a walk along the truffle trail to discover the truffle ecosystem. Cavage demonstrations and tastings are also available.

Sans parler de l'exposition présentée le vrai problème est la boutique de cet ecomusee.Quand on se pose en vitrine de la truffe voire défenseur de la truffe du Périgord on ne peut pas en même temps pour un intérêt purement financier vendre des produits qui ne contiennent que des arômes artificiels et sont une honte pour la truffe. Ces arômes n'ont rien en commun avec un produit noble comme la truffe, le concurrencent et ne donnent à déguster que de la chimie mal réussie et sans aucun rapport avec la véritable truffe. Les chips aromatisées, les huiles aromatisées et autre produits n'ont rien à faire la. C'est lamentable.
Vous passez devant le stand présent au livre gourmand de perigueux et ne sentez que les arômes artificiels. Est cela l'âme du perigord???

Originell aufgemachtes und sehr informatives, kleines Museum. Mit nettem Shop, in dem man, neben anderem, Trüffelprodukte zu ganz vernünftigen Preisen und jede Menge gute (natürlich zumeist französische) Literatur zum Thema kaufen kann. Aber für die Tour durchs Museum stellt das supernette Personal auch einen Leitfaden auf Deutsch zur Verfügung. Hunde sind ebenfalls willkommen und bekommen auch ungefragt was zu trinken!
