A museum where you can learn about the history of the taillanderies in Franche-Comté and the ingenious waterwheel system
During the guided tour, you will learn about the history of the coppersmiths in Franche-Comté and the ingenious system of hydraulic wheels, later replaced by a semi-diesel engine. Thanks to these installations, the coppice factory manufactured scythes, sickles and pruning hooks until 1969. It was created in 1828, the place offered all the necessary elements: river, forest, iron ores from the mountain. A beautiful testimony of the industrial era of the 19th century in Franche-Comté classified as a historical monument. The whole hydraulic installation works perfectly.

A factory 18th century fully driven by water!
The journey hammer working is simply imposing and workshops identical so that they were when the workers made forgeries!
The bellows double wood, what a ingenuity!
Beautiful guided tour.
