A journey through history and time! Housed in the Granvelle Palace, a superb Renaissance building, the museum pays tribute to the history and tradition of watchmaking in Besançon. As you walk through the three floors of the palace, you will discover rich and varied collections, from the sundial to the atomic clock, and including tapestries on the history of Charles V. After admiring Foucault's pendulum, which demonstrates that the earth rotates, the visit ends with the palace tower, which offers a superb view of the city's rooftops.

Collection de montre et d'objets en lien avec l'horlogerie bisontine.
A en croire l'exposition il n'existe sur terre que des montres Lip et Kelton.
C'est bien dommage. Le musée aurait été plus attractif avec des passionnés aux commandes plutot que l'office du tourisme.
Idéal pour les passionnés d’horlogerie.
Tout particulièrement, le pendule de Foucault. Dispositif expérimental conçu pour mettre en évidence la rotation de la Terre par rapport à un référentiel galiléen.
Il y a différentes acquisitions merveilleuses pour admirer le temps qui passe, mais, je suis restée admirative devant la montre Leroy 01 avec ces 24 complications et le courant de Foucault !
C'est une visite parfaite pour une famille avec des enfants aussi bien que toute seule !
J'espère y retourner cette année.
