Baroque church with a single nave covered by a barrel vault, with chapels to the north and south in Muro
This Baroque church was completed around 1760, but in 1778, on Ash Wednesday, part of the vaults collapsed, killing 59 women and one man. Reconstruction lasted until 1784. The building is vast and tall, with a single nave covered by a barrel vault, and chapels to the north and south. The most attractive feature of the building, however, is its opulent polychrome and gilded decoration. The five-bay facade is adorned with five niches housing statues. At the top is a bas-relief depicting the dove of the Holy Spirit.
