An 8-hectare archaeological site, a must-see for visitors who want to step back in time, amidst the remains of Mariana
Just a stone's throw from the airport, this seven-hectare archaeological site takes you back in time to the remains of Mariana, Corsica's first Roman colony, founded in the 1st century BC. You'll stroll along a thousand-year-old street lined with ancient stores and dwellings, then observe the remains of an episcopal complex, consisting of a basilica and baptistery built in the5th century. Artifacts discovered during the excavations can be viewed in the museum.
