This vast expanse of water is the largest on the island.

This pond is the island's largest body of water and one of the last refuges for over 200 species of breeding and migratory birds, including pink flamingos. Classified as a nature reserve since 1994, it is unusual in that it is both sweet and salty. In fact, the Golu River flows into it to the north and the sea is connected by a narrow inlet to the south. You can follow the 1.5 km discovery trail, either on your own or accompanied by one of the reserve's guides.
