FOIRE DE SAINTE-RESTITUDE DE CALENZANA

During this beautiful festival, the inhabitants of Calenzana and the surrounding villages pay tribute to Saint Restitude. This rite of Balagne exists since the 4th century. Protective spirit of Calenzana, the virgin and martyr Saint Restitude is always celebrated with the same fervor. Many activities throughout the weekend and two processions with the relics of the saint carried by the confreres of the village. The service starts in the church of Saint-Blaise and ends in the magnificent chapel of Saint-Restitude. Blessed carnations, mass and a banquet will follow.
