An extraordinary landscape with trees swaying in the wind and granite blocks as if fallen from the sky in Zonza

The forest of Bavella extends with majesty on a thousand hectares, in the heart of which the tops of the trees sway in the wind; as if fallen from the sky, blocks of granite impatronize stoically, conferring to this landscape an extraordinary dimension. The needles of porphyry which compose the needles of Bavella draw singular characters culminating in the sky. At the pass stands the statue of Notre-Dame des Neiges. On August 5th, walking along a road touching the sublime, thousands of pilgrims meet there to gather and pray.

I did lot of mileage to Porticcio with Zonza on foot with the backpack. The landscape is splendid and the rocks are cut in all sorts of formesssssss by the elements. One of the most beautiful places east where you can admire the rock, the pointe du diamant.

An unforgettable hiking but tiring
