This artificial lake in the mountains is close enough to Ajaccio to spend a day or even half a day here. In summer, there's a water sports center where you can enjoy a range of activities and hire pedal boats and other craft for short trips along the water's edge. Lac de Tolla is well known to fishermen, who come here to stalk carp and other freshwater fish from the shore or by boat. Its small beach is perfect for swimming, and a path under the poplars is a great way to stretch your legs after a barbecue.
