The renovated Bastion de l'Étendard offers several attractions: a route marked out by numerous explanatory panels that tell the story of Bonifacio's fortifications, a botanical area with endemic Bonifacian plants, a "landscape garden" with several orientation tables, plus a new interior exhibition that recounts the history of the site. The underground rooms, partly dug into the rock, are impressive, as are the panoramic views along the way.
