LA BALADE ROUTIÈRE DE BASTELICA À BOCOGNANO
We climb to the Scalella pass on the D27: admirable views of the two valleys, Prunelli and Gravona, and of the grey pink rock mountains. Great wild expanses that make you aware of the impenetrable nature of the Corsican maquis. At the next crossroads you can turn right to reach Bocognano directly. Its advantage, apart from a few kilometres less: it passes by the superb legendary Voile de la Mariée waterfall, formed by an arm of the Gravona river. It is not a small trickle of water, but a true natural spectacle: the torrent has made its way through the trees and, bouncing off the rocks, it forms a lively and glittering column which, depending on the fantasy of the moment, can be likened to an angel's hair or, indeed, to the very long diaphanous veil of a young bride. Especially to be seen in the spring, when the snow melts.
