Read moreMaire de Bouzy for 25 years, Georges Vesselle was also director of the vineyards, Perrier-Jouet Mumm and Heidsieck Monopole. Two of her children, Eric and Bruno, also about the vineyard, joined him in 1993. It is them that took over the family business with the death of their father in 2009. In the mountains of Reims, their vineyard extends over nearly 17 acres with grapes to Pinot Noir (90%) and chardonnay (10%). The wines are preserved in the cellars of the estate, carved in chalk with sixteen ft deep at a constant temperature of 10 °C. Welcomed on site, you can also taste the other house specialities, red Bouzy (only red Champagne wine produced) and Ratafia Liqueur.

Read moreIn the 16thcentury , the Beaufort family was already cultivating vines in the region. In 1929, Marcellin and his son Herbert decided to start producing champagne. Today, Henry, Hugues and Ludovic have taken up the torch. The vineyard covers 16.50 hectares, mainly planted with Pinot Noir and supplemented with Chardonnay. Bouzy rouge, an elegant ruby-red wine, is carefully preserved in the subsoil for two years.

Today, Chantal Bara is in charge of the management of the estate and focuses her efforts on export development. The range unveils a Brut Réserve, a non vintage champagne with a fine mousse, a lively and generous cordon. With a beautiful complexity, it offers notes of honey and bark on the nose. In the mouth, it is fresh and fruity. The Cuvée Rosé is also really surprising. Balanced and generous, it captivates with its notes of raspberry and strawberry.

Non-dosed wines, passage in barrels, non-use of sulfites for one of their cuvée (the Violaine cuvée of 2015, made in very few copies)...
