DEVIL'S ROSARY AND WOBBLY ROCK
According to legend, these granite blocks were thrown there as a defense by a young novice pursued and tempted by the Devil.
The Périgord Vert region is full of legends, including that of the novice and the devil at Saint-Estèphe. Fleeing from the Evil One, a young monk is said to have thrown away his rosary beads, which turned into granite blocks.
At the heart of the site is the Roc Branlant, a rock measuring 3 metres by 3 metres. An ethno-botanical trail crosses this granite chaos, offering a walk between nature and mystery. Departure from Grand Étang towards Étang des Cygnes. Twist a coin under the Roc Branlant - it's said to bring good luck!
