We like the warm welcome, the old press and the beautiful vaulted cellars that we find here. Unavoidable, the Horiot champagne deserves a visit for its cuvées: the special Cuvée Jean-Baptiste, a blend of mostly chardonnay and pinot noir, with its beautiful golden yellow color; its Champagne Brut Rosé, elaborated by maceration in wooden vats, with a dark color compared to a blended rosé (white+red mixed), a pretty raspberry color.

The Caveau des Riceys is a warm place that allows tourists or locals to take a break and discover the three AOCs of the town as well as the products made in Aube. To enhance the tastings, you can eat planks of local delicatessen and cheeses, and if you feel like it, invest in nice spittoons and embark on the adventure of oenologists. Themed evenings, oenological or otherwise, are very popular, but require registration. The tables on the terrace are a good place to rest in the middle of a stroll through the vineyards.

The brand was created in the early 1970s, inspired by the name of the ^18th-century seigneur of Les Riceys: the Marquis de Pomereuil. Elegance and character: the house's range includes the Cuvée des Fondateurs, a blend of 2/3 Chardonnay and 1/3 Pinot Noir. Champagne Marquis de Pomereuil also produces two champagne rosé cuvées, Rosé des Riceys and coteaux-champenois. Special mention goes to the coteaux rouge, with its fruity, supple and slightly woody aromas.

In teams of 2 to 10 players, go in search of clues and pass the tasting tests to free the bottle! The Jacques Defrance estate, located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, has been producing an exceptional range of wines since 1867, including the famous Les Riceys rosé. Since 1988, Christophe Defrance, at the head of the vineyard, has undertaken a reasoned culture that respects biodiversity. All the soils of the domain are mechanically cultivated. And since 2017, the estate is certified Terra Vitis and more recently HVE level 3. A favorite is the Natives cuvée and its notes of mirabelle plum and pear.

We love the charm of this beautiful property and it is in the company of the master of the place or his wife that we will see the 17th century cellars and the traditional wine press. The vineyard represents 8.7 hectares, mostly planted with pinot noir, 10 ares being devoted to chardonnay and 20 ares to pinot meunier. For the tasting, the Wenner couple is pleased to share with us their daily life as harvester-manipulants and to let us discover their vintages: Brut Tradition, Champagne Réserve, Vintage 2014, Champagne Rosé, Rosé des Riceys...

Established in Les Riceys since 1830, harvesters and handlers from father to son for 4 generations, the Morize family is committed to respecting the artisanal tradition of wine making. A welcome with a smile! You enter a vast courtyard surrounded by pretty buildings and extended by a park, before going down to exceptional cellars of the 11th and 12th century, and, to finish in a tasting room where you can appreciate white and rosé champagne, rosé of the Riceys, Champagne hillsides.

Growers from father to son for 6 generations, the motto of the winemakers is "Passion, know-how and tradition". Their wines are imbued with these strong values and have won numerous awards. The tasting room is remarkable for its intimate atmosphere. The Blanc de Noirs, named Cuvée de Réserve, is a 100% pinot noir that will sublimate a carpaccio of langoustines, sushi, or delicious scallops with butter.

3 generations of winemakers have succeeded one another at the head of this family estate. HVE-certified, the 12-hectare vineyard is located in the emblematic commune of Les Riceys. Our favorite is the Cuvée Alexandrine, a Blanc de Blancs Millésime 2014 with opulence, power and complexity. If you'd like to stop off in Champagne at this pleasant estate, you can stay in two mobile homes on site, or take advantage of a free parking area for motorhomes. To be experienced!

In the village of Les Riceys, you'll find the home of Olivier Horiot, a small estate where the winemaker's talent is expressed in the most beautiful way. Great care is taken to respect nature and the soil, and this tradition has always shaped the estate's wines and given them their identity. The range includes still wines, with rosés from Les Riceys and Côteaux-Champenois, as well as, since 2004, a range of vintage champagnes. Champagne Pascal Walczak is a harvesting and handling producer offering a wide selection of quality champagnes. The vineyard offers a variety of cuvées, from Cuvée Notre-Dame de Paris to Brut Prestige to Rosé de Vignes. In addition to champagnes, the estate also offers other products such as Ratafia Champenois and Coteaux Champenois Rouge. With its commitment to quality and respect for nature, Champagne Pascal Walczak is Terra Vitis certified and has been recognized as a vineyard of high environmental value.

In the heart of Les Riceys, Didier and Marie-Hélène Goussard welcome you to discover the fruit of their terroir, created with chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. Didier and Marie-Hélène Goussard's champagnes have earned a well-deserved reputation, as wine magazines and guides have honored their production. The estate is committed to the environment, and has been awarded Terra Vitis and HVE certification. You can taste organic cuvées in their Vignobles & Découvertes-certified cellar.

This estate covers 7 hectares of vines in the heart of Les Riceys. The wines are made entirely on the estate. The late ^18th-century cellar in which the champagnes are aged is a must-see. We're also interested in the Riceys rosé, the pride and joy of the region since its introduction in the ^17th century. Remarkably delicate and light on the palate, it gives off aromas of red fruits. Only a handful of passionate winegrowers produce it today. Discover it for yourself!

Founded in 1970, Alexandre Bonnet is an estate that has grown over time. Planted mainly with Pinot Noir, in the Riceys region, its vineyards now cover 47 hectares. "Les Riceys",is one of these privileged terroirs, characterized by steep hillsides with excellent exposure to the sun. The commune of Les Riceys is unique in Champagne in that it is home to three appellations: Champagne, Rosé des Riceys and Coteaux-Champenois!

The Lamoureux family has been producing champagne in Les Riceys for many generations. Sylviane Vincent and Jean-Michel Lamoureux created the Vincent Lamoureux brand together. Together, they produce a frank and generous range, with notably the Tradition cuvée (in brut or demi-sec), a beautiful blend of different crus. The Saint-Vincent cuvée is a white wine 100% chardonnay, a wine with citrus aromas, with fine and lively bubbles.

At Champagne René Bauser, we notice this cadole, the traditional shelter of the winegrowers (a flat stone hut), which has been reconstituted here. We are welcomed in the vast luminous room of the house to discover the work before starting a visit to better understand the elaboration of the local beverage. Champagne, rosé des Riceys, côteaux-champenois are elaborated here; we are taken in the long vaulted cellar decorated with tools and old machines, then we go up by a staircase to find ourselves in the cadole.
