La Grange de Lucie is a restored farmhouse in Val de Dronne, a country of nature. Its orchard resounds, according to the seasons, with the song of hoopoes, swallows or chickadees, and offers especially to the greedy ones its cherries, plums, apricots, pears... Each room is named after a bird from the garden. It has its own atmosphere, where wood and stone are omnipresent, and has its own bathroom and separate toilet.

We could not have been happier with our stay at La Grange de Lucie , we stayed for 4 nights for a friend's wedding in the area, and by the end of our stay we did not want to leave!|The property was beautiful and although we did not get a chance to use many of the facilities due to the unusual September weather and our busy schedule, the pool was always available to be open should we have required it along with lovely grounds for the kids to enjoy. The bedroom was a great size and just what we needed for our family of 4, a VERY large super king bed (and so comfortable!), large single, and a cot was used, the shower was a waterfall style and easy to use. On top of all of the above being fantastic, what really made this stay special for us was Valerie and her family. Valerie was the most gracious host, so welcoming on arrival, happy to have a drink and get to know us a little better before showing us the beautiful property, grounds and our room. Nothing was too much for her, including providing an iron when needed, local pharmacy locations, and even playing puzzles with our 3 year old at breakfast to ensure we got some time to eat. |Breakfast was a different selection each day, and we were even treated to the most delicious homemade pancakes on our final morning!|If it wasn't obvious enough, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property, and should we ever be back in the area, we would not choose anywhere else to stay!|| Thank you for a fantastic experience :)

Valerie and Niels are truly so welcoming and honestly made us all feel like part of the family. I have never felt so comfortable in mother country with my young Family and relaxed. Valerie actually sat down with us one breakfast to complete a puzzle with my 3 year old so me and my wife could eat, unbelievable service. I recommend you have their eggs and the red wine, so simple but so effective. My last comment would be the bed, best nights sleep I have had. Keep up the great work both and we will be back for sure.

Wat een superleuke vakantie hebben wij achter de rug. Ik had hier voor mijn jongvolwassen dochter en mezelf een week geboekt. Heel leuk is dat je hier op de aankomstavond na een lange rit niks te eten moet gaan zoeken, je kan aanschuiven voor spaghetti. De kamer is ruim, last van muggen zal je niet hebben want er zijn zelfs muggenramen voorzien. De badkamer is mooi met een ruime douche en joepie, het toilet is gelukkig in een andere ruimte. |En dan, zo'n mooie ligging, echt heel landelijk maar zo mooi. Overal in de tuin staan stoelen opgesteld zodat je zeker een rustige plaats vindt om van het uitzicht of een goed boek te genieten. Ook om te picknicken of aperitieven is er plaats voorzien. |Het zwembad is verwarmd, errond staan ligbedden, zetels of een loungeset ter beschikking. Er staat een vuurkorf in de tuin, je mag een barbecue gebruiken... |Ontbijten of aanschuiven voor de tables d'hotes doe je in een open schuur. Heel leuk is dat er voor elke kamer een vak in de koelkast is voorzien zodat je niet elke maaltijd weg hoeft te gaan, je kan je picknick koel opbergen. |Wij hadden ook heel veel geluk dat alle andere gasten, allen Vlamingen, gewoon top waren, we schoven onverwacht samen voor het aperitief, we gingen opeens samen uit eten, we hebben heel wat afgelachen, zalig. |Tips om de streek te verkennen, die kregen we zeker volop en op maat van Valerie en Niels. Toen we een akkefietje voorhadden met de wagen konden we en ook bellen voor hulp. Niets lijkt hen te veel. |Ik raad een verblijf bij La Grange van Valerie en Niels , eh, de Grange de Lucie absoluut aan, niet twijfelen, doen.

Wij hebben er een heel toffe vakantie gehad met super gastvriendelijke uitbaters!|Mooie en comfortabele kamers met een goed bed. De eigen badkamer was ook in orde met grote een douche. Verder genoten we iedere morgen van het lekkere ontbijt. Onze kindjes hebben ook veel in het zwembad vertoefd terwijl wij op ons gemakje genoten van de rust in de tuin of op het terras. Veel leuke stadjes en dorpjes bezocht. Dit is een B & B waar we zeker nog eens terug willen gaan, een echte aanrader!
