A committed site

The site of Lascaux IV is a "must-see" in the Périgord, managed by Semitour. It is a property of the Dordogne department and we have, with regard to the delegating authority, a requirement of excellence in all areas. Our environmental policy and the responsible management of purchases allow the daily good functioning of the site.

Similarly, the site has been awarded the Tourism and Handicap label in order to provide an optimal welcome for all visitors. The label was awarded to the site in 2019. The facsimile is designed in the heart of an innovative building to promote optimal control of energy consumption.

Our tourism activity must integrate the issues related to sustainable development.

LASCAUX is committed to this approach and offers our visitors important quality guarantees for their visit as well as a store with local products. A bicycle parking is available on our site. The city of Montignac has an electric bike rental service. Finally, in order to reduce the ecological impact, we advise to favor carpooling. We are at the heart of the approaches initiated by the Region, the Department and the two communities of communes (Terrassonnais en Périgord Noir and La Vallée de l'Homme). These approaches allow, thanks to a common strategy, actions related to the professionalization, the quality, the innovation and the maintenance of the site.

Vraiment très déçue par ce site à un prix de 92 euros pour 2 adultes une étudiante et un ado pour une visite de 45 minutes en audiophone!!! Quel dommage..plutôt un attrape touristes vu le monde heureusement d autres choses très belles a visité dans la région tels que Reignac, les troglodytes..
Et beaucoup moins cher!!

Diese Höhle bzw. ihre Faksimile hat uns beeindruckt und fasziniert! Unglaublich wie toll die Cro-Mangno Menschen gemalt und geritzt haben. Uns hat gefallen, dass im Ausstellungsbereich danach auf einzelne Details gesondert eingegangen wurde. Dank des Audioguide alles in Deutsch. Wir hatten eine sehr gute deutsche Führung.

Un peu déçu par la visite. Beaucoup de monde qui s'entasse et fait du surplace dans la grotte. Passée la découverte des peintures (reproduites) qui fut intéressante, nous arrivâmes à une salle où étaient exposés quelques autres reproductions de peintures et d'outils.
Intéressant certes mais on ne s'y est pas retrouvé vu le prix payé, 122 euros pour 4 tickets adultes et 3 enfants. On a plus eu l'impression de payer la folie des grandeurs des conservateurs qui ont décidé de faire construire un bâtiment aux dimensions pharaoniques alors que l'espace à visiter est très restreint.
