NOTRE-DAME ABBEY
The Signy Abbey Association organizes tours, excursions and conferences, especially during the Cistercian Day scheduled for September 14. Founded in 1135 by 12 monks of Igny-en-Champagne, this Cistercian abbey is illustrated by Guillaume de Saint-Thierry, who wrote his works and died there in 1148. Apart from the outdoor abbey - hotel and farm in the village - it was destroyed in the Revolution. There are still vestiges of the estate, such as the conventual enclosure, mills, forges, ponds, forests and orchards.
