Massive castle transformed into a ceruse factory, classified as a historical monument in 1972 in Fumay
A massive, long and elaborate castle with a brick and stone façade. The Counts of Bryas had this castle built at the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century. Bought by the Borgnet brothers, it was transformed into a ceramics factory. In 1837, a fire ravaged the site and bankrupted the factory. The Société ardoisière du Moulin de Sainte-Anne moved into the former residence of the counts. The castle, classified as a historical monument in 1972, has been protected and maintained ever since.
