The château, nestled in the middle of this vast estate, is just a few minutes from the valley of prehistory in Périgord Noir.

This former hunting lodge, built in 1680, became the residence of a blacksmith in the 17th century. The château has been completely renovated and offers 6 luxurious bedrooms. The 70-hectare estate boasts a large swimming pool with pool-house, a gym and sauna, and a large lake ideal for trout and carp fishing. Numerous terraces welcome you throughout the day, with barbecues and shade. An in-house chef can prepare your meals and cater for weddings or seminars. The estate team is on hand every day.

Chateau was musty and moldy, bedroom was dusty, bedroom linens were scratchy, bed pillows were old and partially filled with broken foam, bath towels were the quality of a high school gym. We were given an old foam-filled twin-sized comforter for a bed advertised as a king and was a queen. The pool was advertised as heated, and it was not heated. Michael Salmon's luxury-priced Foodie Tour has chosen this location for years. It was a disappointment to us, and we felt duped by Mary Jo Brink's false advertising of a luxury vacation.
