For a fascinating immersion in Périgord history, there's nothing like a visit to the Grottes du Roc de Cazelle. This listed site reveals the occupation of this cliff from prehistory to the Middle Ages, with faithful reconstructions of troglodytic dwellings. Prehistoric activities and workshops (flint knapping, thruster shooting, fire lighting, painting) are offered in July and August for a total immersion in the world of our ancestors. The Roc de Cazelle caves, with their educational signposting, enable the whole family to understand the evolution of human occupation.

Opening time and information on CAZELLE ROCK CAVES

Open all year round. February, March, October to mid-November vacations from 10am to 6pm. April, May, June, September from 10am to 7pm. July and August from 10am to 8pm. Mid-November to February vacations from 11am to 5pm. Christmas vacations from 10am to 5pm. Ratuit for children under 5 years old. Adult : 8,50 €. Children (from 5 to 13 years old) : 4,80 €. Group : 6,40 €. Young people and students : 7,50 €, game booklet : 0,90 €. Picnic area, free parking.

a faire avec des enfants

Nous l'avons fait en couple mais des enfants se régaleraient autant. Nous avons passé plus d'1h30 dans le parc sans s'ennuyer. Franchement allez y, ça vaut le coup.

superbe site à faire en famille ....à la découverte des maisons troglodytes .....
Dommage encore que le prix soit un peu élevé

CAZELLE est un site impressionnant par ses falaises, grottes et autres souterrains. Les grottes du roc offre une belle reconstitution de la vie de nos ancêtres de la préhistoire au Moyen âge.
A voir le parc préhistorique, puis les habitations, avant d'emprunter la promenade en falaise jusqu'à la ferme et ses animaux.

site très ludique et agréable pour les grands et les petits. par contre l'accés avec une poussette est très difficile. belle représentation de la vie préhistorique avec des décors très bien imités. les enfants apprécient aussi la ferme et ses animaux.
