Les Grottes de Maxange, a treasure trove of eccentric crystals expertly displayed.
The Maxange caves were discovered in August 2000 by Angel Caballero, while working in his quarry. More than 3,000m3 of earth had to be extracted to make them accessible. Opened to the public in summer 2003, the caves are easily accessible. A treasure trove of eccentric crystals has led to the site being classified by the government as a World Heritage Site. The formidable concentration of matte and translucent calcite concretions is subtly enhanced by the use of the latest lighting and sound technologies

MAGNIFICENT! a cave with human scale but, magic. Access is well thought out waiting between 2 sessions can be done inside or outside (slide and swings for the minots) with a drink or watching the stones of the shop. The cave progressively, at the request of the guide, very nice, in a zen atmosphere (music). One is served interest for the eccentrics and others aragonites! The owner and discoverer of the cave were present but occupied with various experts for the rating to come from the cave. As the guide said, the owner of the career did not wanting and he found treasure that dream any speleologist. Please have made it a public, go see before that is too known.
