Overlooking the valley, Les Farguettes offers a rare combination of unspoilt nature, absolute silence and a horizon as far as the eye can see
The Manoir des Farguettes was built in 1664 by Compagnons who signed their work with a simple stone star bearing this date. Set in 15 hectares of magnificent, flower-filled parkland, the building overlooks a superb valley with a 360° panorama. Nicolas Baur has settled on the estate with his family, in the house overlooking the hill. He rents out a very spacious gîte "L'Oragée" in the former barn, which has been tastefully converted and renovated. On the estate, guests can enjoy the swimming pool and park, and above all the surrounding nature.

C'est l'hiver ! On a bien entrevu que le lieu est très beau et la vue magnifique, mais sous la pluie, nous n'en avons pas trop profité ! On le sait, nous partons tous les ans à cette période et c'est partout pareil. Mais le poêle à bois mis à notre disposition était un énorme plus. Nous avons profité de sa chaleur et de la "vie" procurée par les flammes.
Nicolas nous a très bien accueilli et répondu à nos attentes et demandes. Lui et sa famille sont très discrets, nous avions l'impression d'être seuls et chez nous.
Nous recommandons ce gîte, très bien situé à proximité de lieux touristiques phares de Dordogne, idéal pour des regroupements familiaux ou amicaux.
Merci Nicolas et au plaisir de vous revoir, peut-être en été pour profiter aussi de la piscine !

De host is heel erg vriendelijk, gastvrij en behulpzaam. We kregen veel tips voor activiteiten in de buurt.
Het vakantiehuis is prachtig gelegen op een heel ruim terrein, met mooie natuur rondom.
Buiten is er een zeer ruim zwembad dat uitkijkt op een prachtig landschap.
Het terras is voldoende groot en er is een goeie barbecue met een plancha. Wij hebben iedere avond buiten gekookt.
Ook binnen is het erg goed: de kamers zijn top met prima bedden, heel veel ruimte. Ook met warme temperaturen blijft het huis relatief fris.
Aanrader, ik wou dat ik deze plaats geheim kon houden????
