LANQUAIS CASTLE
This CHÂTEAU boasts remarkable jagged stone fireplaces, Louis XIII furniture and French ceilings.
Classified and furnished, this jewel of the Périgord region oscillates between fortified castle and Renaissance palace. Its sculpted fireplaces, Louis XIII furniture and French ceilings make it an exceptional place. Nicknamed the unfinished Louvre of Périgord, it was disputed during the Wars of Religion and was home to the famous Isabeau de Limeuil. The salons, kitchens and bedrooms are open to the public, with a guided tour available on reservation. The château also hosts medieval festivals, private events and self-catering holidays, in an enchanting historic setting.
