Located as its name suggests in the Deux Lions district, this multiplex is the family and general public cinema of the CGR franchise in Tours. Large parking lot, hall with video games and candy counter: access is easy and you can wait for a while. The twelve theatres are accessible to the handicapped and comfortable (armchairs spaced more than one metre apart). The programming plays the card of big productions, which can often be enjoyed in 3D. We love the ICE-Immersive Cinema Experience, with its reclining club chairs, 4K resolution image and Dolby Atmos sound. Previews are frequent, and when you leave the theatre you can enjoy the surrounding restaurants.

A well-known haunt for jazz and food lovers. With its three lounge and intimate rooms, the Strapontin does not only serve good drinks. The place has made a name for itself in jazz (but not only), with its jams and concerts. On the menu, beers and wines, but also whiskies, rums or house cocktails are accompanied by planks of cold meats and cheeses. Ideal for a cosy evening or a group outing (reservation required), with a very professional welcome. From the morning coffee on the terrace to the evening concert, this is a place where it is good to stop!

A little away from the madness of the Vieux-Tours, not far from the rue Nationale, the Milord is a trendy club dedicated to the over 30s. We go down some steps to discover a chic and retro space. The bar proposes a great number of cocktails and a corner is dedicated to the smokers not to have to go out in the street. Do not hesitate to ignite the dance floors with the sound of the various DJs. The bosses of the Marquis are often in charge, since the Milord and the Marquis gather the inexhaustible M Family! As a proof, the logo they share. Events are regularly organized to liven up your evenings and wild nights. Attention, correct dress required.

26 years already? Owner Warren opened The Pale in 1998 to recreate a little piece of Ireland. And it worked! The Pale has become a benchmark bar on Rue Colbert, winning over Tourangeaux with its lovely terrace, pub atmosphere and friendly waiters and waitresses at the counter. Here, we chat in French, sometimes in English, and above all we speak the same language: the love of good beer and the warm atmosphere of pubs! Darts, a fine selection of beers, soccer and rugby matches on giant screens, and sometimes even concerts...

Nello is an emblematic figure of the Touraine scene thanks to his cabaret created in 1994. 2022 rhymes with new premises, Velpeau district. A bigger place, and a show always surprising thanks to the numerous artists who participate. Humor, transformism, dance in the purest tradition of the music-hall cabaret parade on stage, where Nello often plays the presenters or the transformists. All this is done with a meal, for a nice evening far from the routine. And you can even book the place for a private party. It's really "La Belle Vie"!

On their Facebook or Instagram accounts, we quickly have a smile, and it's normal: Antoine, Gorane and their team put good humor on the menu every day! In a nice decor, between modern colored paintings and rustic wooden furniture, we come to have lunch, taste wines and chat. You can buy here good wines from Touraine and elsewhere. Becoming Camden Pub in the summer of 2016, the former Paddy retains the essential: we talk and drink, not that the chairs are missing (the terrace is large enough), but the atmosphere is such during the sports retransmissions that it keeps us awake without noticing. Ah, the 1960s and 1970s were the good times, as some would say. La Belle Époque is also the name of this bar located a few meters from Place Plum'. Here, the vinyls and posters of old idols of yesteryear are honored: Johnny, Mike Brant, Gainsbourg, Dalida... but also Gabin and Belmondo. Cosy atmosphere in this bar on the famous Place Plumereau. The tufa stone walls remind us that we're in the historic district, and the colorful, comfortable sofas put us at ease. The cellar is just as friendly, and the terrace lets you enjoy the life of the square. In addition to the classic beers and hot and cold drinks on the menu, there are tasty cocktails prepared with fresh ingredients and quality spirits by ace mixologists. A number of events will no doubt be held throughout the year. Do not say "Vinci" but Palais des Congrès, since the place has changed its name in 2018. But this building designed by the architect Jean Nouvel has not changed, since the "liner" (as nicknamed by the Tourangeaux not very seduced by the building) still has 22 rooms and 4,500 m² of exhibition space to accommodate 190 events per year. Concerts of national and international stars, fairs, congresses... And even large exhibitions, the novelty 2022. Known by all generations of Tourangeaux, Pym's has been a joy to attend student parties since 1985. In spite of its ready-to-dance (and ready-to-dredge) supermarket allure, this nightclub seems to be so rustproof that it has been so successful over the years. On the program, two rooms for two atmospheres: current generalist music for a rather young clientele, with a VIP area overlooking the dance floor, and another room whose music will seduce people in their forties and over. Student parties, zouk or salsa evenings, bachelor parties or beer parties, there are many events organised by the owners or associations, and the atmosphere is guaranteed.

This is one of the must-sees of the Old-Tours, especially for the student population and all those who love a big atmosphere. Proof of success? Le Puits Sait Tout has expanded to welcome all its fan customers in good spirits! We meet here around the central bar for a drink in a festive setting. The atmosphere is that of a bar in the South West of France, you are transported to Hossegor or Bayonne, and on sunny days, you can enjoy the large wooden tables on the terrace. For the gourmets, the drink can be accompanied by some tapas with Basque flavours. And if you're in need of ideas, theme evenings throughout the year complete the programme!

Well known by the people of Tours, La P'tite Maiz produces its excellent beers close to here, in Notre-Dame-d'Oé. In 2022, the two friends Christophe and Quentin open a bar in downtown Tours and it is a success. It's not very big but you feel good around the big central counter. The list of beers offered on draught is displayed on the wall but you can also ask for advice and even taste before ordering. There is something for every taste. A little hunger shows up? So much the better, in the kitchen the chef is busy preparing beautiful things.

L'Excalibur is one of the places where all young people from Tours go, from generation to generation. Almost 40 years old, this nightclub in Vieux-Tours, a stone's throw from Place Plumereau, is still a huge success. Numerous parties are organized in these vaulted cellars. Nostalgia evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays give way to electro DJ sets on weekends, for dancing the night away. The room is small, which makes it easy to meet people. And to keep up with the times, say "l'Exca" and not "l'Excalibur".

The Lamartine street is a quiet street, in a rather residential neighborhood. Calm yes, except when you enter April 25. Why April 25? Referring to the 1974 Revolution in Portugal. José and Arthur welcome you in their small neighborhood bar which brings together many people from the Portuguese community throughout the day. We speak Portuguese, we drink coffee because coffee is good. As José says so well: " The singularity of April 25 is that here we speak loud. " So if you're in the corner, don't hesitate to stop taking a break, in the evenings too, around a glass of wine and slices of chorizo. Bem-vindo!

With a new decoration, and a room which allows to have a nice surface to welcome the customers, Le Serpent Volant has not lost what makes its charm. Beams, tuffeau, and, behind the bar, the mythical Omar, faithful to the post. During the day, you can meet a varied clientele which mixes students, artists, originals of all kinds... On the first floor or in the room on the first floor, you can enjoy exhibitions, but also, since a few months, many DJ sets and small concerts. The alternative spirit which animates the place is then translated in music, while some chess tournaments bring back the balance on the side of the calm in this endearing bar.

A small shop near the old quarter of the cathedral; It's here that you'll drown his thirst for strong drinks. You will be well placed between the counter's pillars like Loved Boisantin and Gervaise Macquart, which will allow you to strengthen. The patron being of Germanic origin, in this den of des, we find a completely curious collection of old bottles in which liquid treasures are built and even an old still used by the founder grandfather of this bar. The Orchestre Symphonique Région Centre has its home in Tours, at the Opera. But it also travels throughout the year throughout the region to broadcast classical music (or less classical). Since the arrival of Laurent Campellone at the direction of the Opera of Tours in 2020, the orchestra benefits from renowned guests at the baton. Operas, operettas, symphonies, chamber music, contemporary music, young audience... Everything is allowed! And for you too: come and meet the musicians in Tours, during the heritage days or the Tous à l'Opéra day.

The Comptoirs de l'Affiné is the near-twin brother of the restaurant across the street, offering a triple menu: wine bar, cheese tasting and delicatessen. In a chic, well-appointed setting, you'll find a wide choice of gourmet products: wines and champagnes, Oliviers & Co, terrines, oils, local beers and, of course, cheeses. All available to take away or to taste on the premises with a glass of wine and a choice of snacks. Afterwork and private parties are also possible (booking essential).

The centerpiece of the Tours Exhibition Center, the Grand Hall is also an XXL-sized concert hall that regularly welcomes the greatest national and international artists. It must be said that with its 10 000^m2, the place can receive 4 000 to 12 000 spectators! Of course, with the Covid, it was not often opened these last months... We are therefore looking forward to the big concerts, but also to the fairs and exhibitions organized in the whole Parc Expo. Wedding show, car show, Ferme Expo, Japan Expo, Holiday on Ice... Le Jaja lives up to its name: it's a place where you can find good wine, and even very good wine, but that's not all. At lunchtime, Le Jaja is a bistro, with simple, tasty dishes. The welcome is charming, and the prices reasonable when you consider the quality of what arrives on the plate. The family atmosphere makes you forget that the room can be small when crowded, but you'll gladly rub shoulders with this lively neighborhood spot. For a good lunch, or an evening aperitif, this is the place to go if you want to eat and drink well just a stone's throw from Les Halles.

Want to continue the party after the bars close? The Hot Rod is one of the lucky ones that stays open until 4am. If we talk about the "Joulins" or the "Kaa", know that they are the predecessors of the Hot Rod in this place. The spirit remains rock'n'roll, the atmosphere friendly (even if after 2h you inevitably meet customers of other bars a little bit tipsy). Good beers, good wine, and good atmosphere form the trifecta of the place. The DJ sets alternate with the retransmissions of soccer and American soccer or NBA basketball games. Of course, we drink a Budweiser or a good bourbon in these cases! And for the rest, note that the terrace is large and sunny in summer.

Juliette is not only the chef at l'Instant, but also a champion, having been awarded the 2021 prize for the quality of her vegan pastries. In a cosy setting, seated on a welcoming sofa, at a dressmaker's table, or in the basement for greater intimacy, you can enjoy the peace and quiet to read, chat, play games or even watch a film! All while enjoying tea, fruit juice, pastries or savoury dishes. Juliette also takes orders for buffets and special cakes (galettes des rois, logs, birthdays...) Opened in 2018 in Tours Nord, near the Vaucanson streetcar, CinéLoire has won over all the residents of Tours Nord and the surrounding area. Passed in 2020 under the Pathé-Gaumont umbrella, the 9-screen complex has an IMAX theater that plunges viewers right into the action. Many films are also offered in 3D, and for those in the back of the theater or in the front row, the numbered seating option is available for free. Unlimited monthly subscriptions and discount cards will satisfy moviegoers, as will previews and other events. And as an added bonus, there are restaurants nearby to enjoy before or after the movie.

Far from the nightlife of the place Plumereau, we look for a more cosy atmosphere here. The place is charming and the large terrace in summer overlooks the beautiful Place Châteauneuf. You will have a front row seat to enjoy the view on the Charlemagne Tower and the statue of Saint Martin. Inside, a retro chic decoration and its bottles on display. The reception is smiling and the barmen will be pleased to make you discover the various cocktails proposed. The whole, accompanied by a well furnished board. There is no need for more!

This unmissable gay-friendly venue in the heart of the city center, a theme and music bar, livens up the rue du Commerce all year round with a variety of DJ sets ("Les années 90, c'était mieux avant", for example), Hallowinch' parties for Halloween, Saint Patrick's Day, drag shows... The venue also lends its space to voguing classes, karaoke and reruns of the TV show Dragrace France. Near the Place de la Résistance, you'll find the Pacio, a friendly place for those who want to dance the night away. Free for girls except on Saturdays, the Pacio offers a bar, several quiet seating areas and, of course, a great dance floor. The music on offer is varied, and DJs regularly take their place behind the decks. There are also numerous themed evenings. This is the equation at Piraat Café: Touraine bar + Belgian brasserie = this bar beloved by hop lovers. Sylvain and his team have created this new venue in autumn 2019, in place of the former Campus. On the menu, always a smile and good beers. A dozen draught beers are on offer, along with cocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All are accompanied by delicious cheese and charcuterie boards. As for entertainment, the main room and its stage occasionally host small concerts or improvisation shows, and the giant screen in the first room shows soccer or rugby for the major championships.

Opened in the summer of 2018, The Spot is a bar that has it all: space for intimate conversation, as well as a kids' corner and a cozy couch. Add generous boards, terrines, sardines, and rum babas or panna cotta to snack on, and a menu that displays good wines, varied beers, spirits and cocktails... We are delighted! And a few more details make the place stand out. Here, you can play ukulele, guitar or cajon, or play the piano, or enjoy the exhibitions and concerts offered. The Bibliovore's neighbors also offer books at low prices. A cultural spot!

CDNT, Tº, Théâtre Olympia... The National Dramatic Center of Tours has several names! But it is always at the same place, rue de Lucé, that we find each season a program where contemporary creations occupy a good place, under the direction of Jacques Vincey. About fifteen proposals are to be discovered each season, without forgetting the partnerships with other local theaters to welcome bigger productions. Since 2016, the WET festival has brought together young companies from all over France for three days, for an anthology of creations in several places in the agglomeration. And the smart idea: lunch or a snack at the Tº cafeteria.

Opened in 2018, this bar never deviates from its guiding principle: ten beers on draught, so... ten kegs, of course! A branch of the Orléans chain of the same name, this Touraine bar has made a name for itself among lovers of good beers. Local vintages take pride of place, but other craft beers from France and abroad are also on the menu, in bottle or draught. Sitting at the counter, on the terrace or in the cosy room at the back, you can savour these hop-flavoured treasures, advised by Tinos behind the bar. An essential stop-off on a stroll down Rue Colbert, if you like to discover and enjoy good beers.

This concert hall will have known many adventures! Cult for the "old" Tourangeaux, it has seen artists such as Mano Negra, Noir Désir or IAM. But the boat sank in 2010. Since then, a team of enthusiasts is rowing to get it back afloat. In 2020, ready to take the sea, an epidemic passed by. But here it is, in 2022, freshly renovated, the place welcomes artists again. There is the programming, but also "pirate" proposals around the bar. Concerts, exhibitions, animations, projections... A link of culture which gathers.

Fresh fruits on the counter, to make you want to mix them, sometimes in a surprising way thanks to the team's suggestions. This is an address not to be missed for lovers of natural wines and craft beers. This is indeed the specialty of this bar opened in 2019. Behind the counter, the owner makes it a point of honor to offer products made with the love of nature and work well done. The menu features a fine selection of natural wines from Touraine and elsewhere, as well as craft beers and soft drinks. It is not rare that wine growers come to taste their latest creations. All this in a relaxed atmosphere. We hope that summer will be synonymous with the return of small rustic dishes for snacking or lunch.

The place seems discreet, but it is a recognized address, where quality is at the rendezvous, and friendliness too. François, Sylvain and their cohorts have long dreamed of opening their own cultural and gaming bar. The dream came true in 2019. To offer a bar where you can drink, eat (brunch on weekends) and play. Hot and cold drinks are served, with or without alcohol. In the evening, the kitchen prepares a variety of tapas, from patatas bravas for sharing to burgers for the hungrier. But most of all: we're dipping into the stock of board games on offer! A "game sommelier" will even come and explain the rules to you if you need to. It's your turn to play!

Installed in Tours in the summer of 2020, the pink elephant of the Belgian beer Delirium has seduced a young public fond of warm atmospheres, burgers and good beers. In a large room, warm thanks to its red brick style decoration, you can sit at a small or large table to order a drink from an endless list of beers. It is the specialty of the place! Since the summer of 2018, the Crafty Brew Pub has offered a vast choice all year round, which you can find your way around thanks to the staff's good advice. Enjoy your beer on the terrace or in one of the large rooms, with a generous board of charcuterie and tapenades. A big screen for match nights, darts tournaments and themed entertainment punctuate the year.

A team adventure game inspired by the TV show Fort Boyard, Prison Island offers two activity concepts: a 23-challenge adventure or a Quizz Boxing arena. Form your own team of prisoners and set off to solve the tactical, technical or physical challenges of the 23 prison cells in the allotted time. If you're a fan of blind tests, enter the Quizz Boxing arena and compete on a variety of themes: cinema, history, sports, video games, music... A fun activity to share with friends and family aged 5 and over!

Although a little out of the way from the heart of the city, the CCNT is worth a visit! The National Choreographic Center of Tours, directed since 2012 by the dancer-choreographer Thomas Lebrun, is dedicated to welcoming companies from here and elsewhere for work sessions and public performances. Each year, the CCNT also organizes the Tours d'Horizons festival in June, with various choreographic proposals in theatres of the metropolis and atypical places (museum of fine arts, cloister of the Psalette...). Sweeping the whole range of current contemporary dance, the programming of the festival as well as the hall is aimed at the initiated, but also at neophytes. Our smart recommendation: take advantage of the free "Curious Hours". 30 minutes of dance and 30 minutes of exchange between the public and the artists, an ideal formula to enter this universe! And in two years, we'll be moving to a brand new building in the Casernes district, to take even better advantage of this cultural offer.
