FATHER AND SON FOR THE SAME PASSION: CREATION

With a refurbished boutique and workshop at the foot of the Tour de l'Horloge, Lecerf Jewelry took the opportunity to change its name and make official the collaboration between Emmanuel and Jean-Baptiste, father and son, passionate jewelers.

What brings you together?

We have a real complementarity in creation, and the same love of beautiful stones and noble materials that we work with: precious and semi-precious stones, yellow or white gold, platinum.... It is also the desire to satisfy the customer with top-of-the-range creations that unites us. We often think in pairs to create jewellery proposals.

And what is a piece of jewellery for you?

The symbol of a feeling, of a moment. If our client has a specific idea in mind, we help him to make it come true. If he doesn't, we think with him, we immerse ourselves in his story, in what the jewel represents. We meet again during the manufacturing process, to adapt the prototype to his wishes, because our goal is to create the jewel of his dreams. The best moment is finally when this creation leaves the workshop to start a new life, and to cross time and generations.

In the image of the Saint Martin's Sharing Medal, which you have created?

This medal has also been crossing borders for the past four years! We receive photos from all over the world of people wearing this medal, it is heartwarming. In the spirit of the Sint Maarten Sharing, part of the funds are donated to associations. Its almond shape is inspired by a medieval medal, and we strike it right here in the Clock Tower.

The workshop has also been given a makeover: what has changed?

We wanted to live up to the incredible setting that welcomes us: the foot of the Tour de l'Horloge. It's an opportunity to introduce novelties, with showcases where we always mix know-how, by welcoming artists (sculptors or designers for example). But they have been redesigned to showcase our creations, with our new collection. You will also find the jewels of two other creators, always with the idea of presenting creations that we love, and of high quality.
