Charming hotel-restaurant in Semblançay with large rooms, with a refined and neat decoration

A charming hotel-restaurant with two beautifully renovated houses in a peaceful village 10 kilometres from Tours. The rooms are quite spacious, with a refined and well-kept decoration. This charming hotel really brings us all the comfort, because on the spot, you will find a restaurant of gastronomic cooking. A very beautiful address, which has become a must in Touraine, to make a quiet stopover in this very famous hotel. Successfully taken over in 2016 by two professionals, Alice and Olivier Loize, true lovers of the Touraine region.

In the heart of Touraine, only 10 km north of Tours, the hotel restaurant La Mère Hamard welcomes you in the country of the Loire castles, in the charming village of Semblançay. The hotel and the restaurant are installed in two authentic houses separated by a simple street. The owners, Mrs. and Mr. Pégué, will give you a warm welcome, just like the building and the atmosphere that reigns there.

Take advantage of the ideal location of La Mère Hamard to discover the castles of the Loire Valley such as Amboise, Chenonceau or Blois. It is very easy to go all around Semblançay to follow the Loire and enjoy all its treasures.

You can also stop by our gastronomic restaurant. On the menu: regional and seasonal products cooked in a traditional way, to be tasted in the dining room or on the terrace.

La Mère Hamard was founded at the beginning of the last century. This traditional house, combining the art of entertaining and family values, is a very pleasant stopover during your stay in Touraine.

Bel hôtel - personnel sympathique - bon petit déjeuner - restaurant raffiné avec une nourriture et un service excellents. Nous avons passé deux nuits dans une chambre confortable et avons pris nos repas tous les deux soirs au restaurant de l'hôtel - très recommandable.

Accueil très chaleureux, personnel très serviable, agréable et attentionné. Délicieux petit déjeuner avec des produits de qualité (oranges pressées, café ...) et fait maison (confitures ...). Le restaurant offre aussi des repas très fins à un prix correct, avec une belle terrasse à l'extérieur, protégée du vent. On y retournera volontiers.

J'y suis allé plusieurs fois, je reconnais ce que certains rapports ont dit à propos de la patronne.Le plateau de fromage était médiocre par rapport aux visites précédentes et il y a eu un comportement très peu professionnel de sa part à cause d'une confusion.Je n'y retournerai pas maintenant, il y a tellement de choix en France de toute façon, elle ne mérite pas que nous fassions affaire avec elle.
