Set of caves, the was discovered in 1547, with stalactites and stalagmites, a reconstruction like a Jurassic Park.

Less than 15 minutes from Tours and 5 minutes from Villandry castle, these caves were discovered by Bernard Palissy in 1547. You will discover stalactites, stalagmites and other petrifying waterfalls that have been formed for millions of years and that offer a strange curiosity of nature. In the second cave, there is a reconstruction of the prehistoric fauna of the primary and secondary eras, for an atmosphere of Jurassic Park in the Touraine. Remember to cover up, as it is only 14°C inside the cave.

Un petit voyage d'environ 1h sous la terre pour découvrir le principe des grottes petrifiantes. Guide sympathique qui prend le temps de répondre à vos questions en fin de visite. Très agréable à faire et à voir. Dégustation de vin ou sirop offerte en milieu de visite.

Un peu cher pour ce que c'est mais c'est vraiment très intéressant ! La guide est vraiment adorable même si on voit que ses connaissances ne sont pas parfaites :)

Perplexe.. nous avons été très mal accueilli par une dame très peu aimable, à nous prendre de haut lors de notre arrivé.. la visite fut quand même bonne avec une guide très professionnelle.

Grotte di tufo calcaree dice viene effettuato il processo della pietrificazione su oggettistica di vario tipo: da ninnoli in ceramica a piastrelle ed altre tipologie.
La nostra guida (in francese) molto disponibile e simpatica, ha dissipato ogni nostro dubbio ed è stata molto esaustiva.
Se passate da queste parti (se visitate il castello di Villandry ????) vale la pena dargli un'occhiata.
