Set of caves, the was discovered in 1547, with stalactites and stalagmites, a reconstruction like a Jurassic Park.

Less than 15 minutes from Tours and 5 minutes from Villandry castle, these caves were discovered by Bernard Palissy in 1547. You will discover stalactites, stalagmites and other petrifying waterfalls that have been formed for millions of years and that offer a strange curiosity of nature. In the second cave, there is a reconstruction of the prehistoric fauna of the primary and secondary eras, for an atmosphere of Jurassic Park in the Touraine. Remember to cover up, as it is only 14°C inside the cave.

War super interessant, man kann sie nur mit einer Führung besichtigen, die nur auf französisch stattfindet, kriegt aber für das was er sagt einen kleinen Ordner zum nebenher lesen dazu. Es ist eine relativ ungewöhnliche Höhle, bei der man auch Skulpturen aus dem Kalk begutachten kann. Ebenso folgt dann eine kostenlose kleine Weinprobe und dauert insgesamt ca. 1 Std und kostet 6-7€ für Einzelpersonen! War wirklich toll!
