Cabernet franc, a wine quite tender, fleshy and of good guard to consume with cheeses from its youngest age.
This is the only PDO in the Loire Valley that follows the contours of its commune. The surface area represents 1,050 ha with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon as grape varieties. This AOC produces almost exclusively red wines. The Cabernet Franc, which is the majority grape variety, expresses all its qualities. It is a rather tender wine, fleshy and of good guard. All the aromas of red fruits dominate. It is an excellent wine to keep, but it can also be drunk at a young age.
